I got the lobster chowder (bisque) and the scallops. Hands down the best meal of my life. You cannot skip this place. Go right when they open to get a table. Pricey but worth it.

Amazing atmosphere, fantastic service, and delicious food. We got our reservation about 1 week ahead of time and the food was beyond expectations. Had the Pan Roasted lobster and highly recommend it. Great Dinner Experience.

An outstanding meal. A little hard to find (I'm keeping it secret). A beautiful spot on the water. It looked busy, but our waitstaff treated us like friends.

Bartenders were super nice and very attentive. Oyster guy was a pro. They shuck them right in front of you, which is a nice touch. At the table, our server Krystal was great. She had great recommendations, was attentive and paced everything well. The food was outstanding, from the whole fish to the sauteed lobster. Bonus point for the amazing cloverleaf rolls.

I went to dinner with some picky people and got them to eat octopus and got them to have the fish special. They absolutely love it! We all had very good food and the service was excellent. We are definitely going back !

Absolutely incredible food. Was there with a bigger party and we were served with incredible patience, understanding, and efficiency. Everything on the menu is incredible, having tried several other dishes around the table, can't go wrong with a dinner at Scales!

From the entrance to the dessert, this place does not disappoint. Julia was a wonderful waitress who did not steer us wrong: mussels, garlic rolls, baked haddock, ice cream. Highly recommend them all. We were a huge fan of the ambiance- even with a lot of patrons, it wasn’t too noisy. Lots of business people there it seemed on a weekday night, perhaps as expected. Cool view of the water and boats from the restaurant. Dinner for two cost $150~.

We had dinner at Scales this evening and had a delightful experience. Really well prepared food and a truly pleasant staff. The scallops dish was incredibly good in particular. The salad was so fresh and crisp, amazing seeing it is winter here now. Great experience and I highly recommend.

We had scallops, lobster bisque and Halibut! We are literally never going to be able to eat seafood anywhere else EVER! The best food I have eaten in 57 years on this earth. May sound dramatic but it is true! UNBELIEVABLE.

We were on vacation and my wife researched the best lobster places in town and Scales was at the top of the extremely long list. I can honestly say that the internet did not lie. Our waitress Sandra was phenomenal. Our glasses never made it more than half empty and she was beyond polite.I highly suggest, that if you are in town, stopping in for a great dinner.

My favorite seafood restaurant in Portland. Fresh and tasty; excellent service; fantastic location. Pricey but very good.

OH MY GOD...I'm Speechless. This is hands down one of the best places I've ever been to. The flavors are Amazing. My tastebuds danced. The service is Awesome .

Scales has absolutely incredible seafood. Some of the best in all of Portland. Their entire menu is impressive from their bread to their raw bar and desserts. If you are visiting Portland you can't miss Scales.

Delicious upscale restaurant with a modern look and feel for both the menu and dining area. Doesn't feel too uptight but still classy at the same time. We got the pan fried lobster, and bevette steak to create a surf and turf to share. Both were delicious. Wait staff was attentive and polite. One of the bests of Portland.

Delicious fresh seafood in a great location. Service was fantastic too. Must get reservations!

I wanted to love scales, but the food was just too salty for my liking
